MCP (Model Context Protocol)

An open standard for connecting AI agents to data sources and tools, so integrations are not rebuilt per vendor.

Before MCP, every AI tool integrated with every data source in its own way. MCP defines a common interface: expose your system as an MCP server once, and any compatible AI client can use it.

For a business this matters mostly as a hedge. Building integrations against an open protocol rather than one vendor's proprietary plugin format means less rework when you change tools — and increasingly, when your customers want their own agents to reach your product.

Most engagements start with a fixed-price audit, so the first thing you buy is a decision rather than a commitment.
